This ancient healing art remains relatively unknown in Europe. Attitudes are changing rapidly to preventative medicine, and it is being accepted as a frontline defence against illness.
Light or deep pressure is used through clothing on meridian lines and pressure points of the body – including head and feet. Shiatsu uses stretches and gentle movement to aid structural alignment and create a balance of mind and body.
Shiatsu is suitable for everyone, of any age and as often as you feel necessary.
Results are similar to acupuncture but without the needles.
It will increase flexibility and body awareness, leading to a greater control of the way your body works.
Optimise your body energy.
Acupuncturists undergo three years full-time training. They study the same basic medical sciences as doctors – anatomy, physiology, pathology and pathophysiology. This allows the acupuncturist to take an integrated view of medicine by understanding the approaches of both paradigms.
The combined work of acupuncture and Western medicine allows for treatment that can be both preventative and curative.
Moxibustion and cupping are two further techniques used by acupuncturists, these are especially effective in winter months against coughs and colds.
What is Naturopathy and Iridology?
The study of the iris allows the practitioner to see the condition of your body to organ level, what challenges you came into the world with and what you have accumulated since. We are able to access where the toxicity or inflammation lie, and what potentials your body has for healing itself.
Iridology is one of the principles of naturopathy, which is a multidiscipline approach to health care. It recognises the bodies ability and power to heal itself and helps you release that potential.
Often our bodies need assistance to function properly, naturopathic principles are tailored to create a personal programme to your own unique requirements.
Bioenergy devices allow us to check for what is affecting you, from geopathic stress, to household chemicals, hidden viruses, bacteria, yeasts and moulds, inoculation stress, the pH balance of the body, to name a few.
We can test on this device what the right remedy is and what combinations work, even if you are taking medication, we can test for what remedies work alongside your meds, be that nutritional or energetic.
NASA uses this laser technology to help astronauts, who have been plunged into the darkness of space, to acclimatise themselves to ‘come back to earth’.
Light Therapy is nothing new. It has been used by the medical profession since the early 1900s/ People used to be sent to solariums for light therapy and taken to the seaside for treatment of diseases such as rickets. Technology has come a long way since then to today’s monochrome light dome. This is the only device using a thin nano bandwidth of light (laser) combined with colour as a treatment. It is the light, not the colour that wakes up the brain cells!
How does it work?
It works by increasing the effectiveness of the mitochondria cells (power houses). These cells are limited in number when we are sick. Increasing their number and their effectiveness will have a positive effect on us in many areas. Apart from boosting our intelligence, light therapy may slow down the ageing process of the brain.
Is it time for you to get into the light?
Ten minutes of light dome therapy every 3–5 weeks is as much as the body will need. You can do this all year round, or just during autumn/winter months if you wish to treat SAD. This treatment is fun too for treatment of children who want better school grades.
Through careful examination of your nails, skin, face, tongue, and a comprehensive case history, we create personalised treatment plans integrating nutrition, bodywork, acupuncture, and alignment techniques. This approach often improves digestion, sleep quality, hormonal balance, and immune strength.
In our journey toward holistic well-being, two fascinating disciplines emerge as significant guides: Jungian dream analysis and naturopathy. Both approaches offer invaluable insights into our inner selves, emotional and physical health, when combined they can lead to profound transformations.
Jungian dream analysis invites us to delve into the subconscious, exploring the rich tapestry of our dreams. Carl Jung, a pioneer in this field, believed that dreams serve as a bridge to our unconscious minds. By understanding the symbols and themes present in our dreams, we unlock deeper insights into our emotions, fears, and desires. This exploration can not only illuminate our inner landscape but also foster personal growth and healing.
On the other hand, nutritional naturopathy emphasises the importance of holistic nutrition in maintaining health and preventing disease. It recognizes that the food we consume is not just fuel for our bodies but also plays a crucial role in our emotional and mental well-being. By focusing on natural, wholesome foods, with some supplemental care, we can nourish ourselves in a way that supports both physical vitality and emotional balance.
We can advise and supply what is good for your skin and general well-being, during your consultation.
All items are fairly priced and many organic & fair-traded.
